So long to a good friend....

Well, I have some sad news for you "Shorty" fans out there....he passed late this afternoon at the Hughart home. Evidently, since I was getting some much needed rest with R, CR informed me of his untimely death. She apparently took his home down to play with him in her room, which she is not allowed to do and has been told not to several times. She accidentally dropped the tank, it busted, she saw S playing and hopping around and thought he liked it, evidently, and proceeded to let him play at his heart's content, which I suppose stopped beating not long after being allowed this free frolic. I did not learn of the event until later, much later when R told me the diamond was in the froggy tank, and she explained that by telling me he was dead. I thought, hmmm...let's check this out! Ha! So, I went to find his usual spot...then came the explanation...yada yada yada...and there we have it. Yes, S has passed and he will be dearly missed. For all of you wondering, I calmly explained to her how he passed, she evidently thought he could play outside the water like other froggies...she asked for another pet, I declined, explaining she will have to learn to take care of things properly before owning another one....you know, helping her to understand that once she understands better how to take care of one and not get an idea in her head to go against Mom and Dad's logic, then we will consider a non-allergen pet. (sneeze, wheeze). Farewell, Little S, mamma will miss you....
